I found Pho Tick Tock through these Yelp reviews and first had lunch here on 4/10. My Chinese mom LOVES it (as much as I do) so we have eaten here 5 (yes FIVE) times in ten days. My mom would eat there every day if I could take her. All of the broths are extremely flavorful. I always order the single Pho Tick Tock (you get to add everything yourself into the steaming broth in clay/stone pots) and my mom alternates between the Pho Combo and the Beef Stew. Ricky is fantastic (he learned our names immediately so he greets us as soon as we enter the restaurant) and all of the servers are wonderful.

Hands down the best pho place in San Mateo. I came here for lunch and ordered the pho. The broth was amazing. It was so beefy. Definitely not tasteless. I didn't even need to add any additional sauce. The meat was fresh. You can tell by the texture and taste. The best part was the fresh noodles. I'm not a huge fan of big noodles for pho but after my first bite I was in love. By the end of my lunch I had nothing left in my bowl. It was that amazing. It was so good, I came back the same day with my husband. Yup the same day.

I tried fresh shrimp roll and tick tak hot pot and I am impressed with the freshness of the meat, noodle, sprouts and basil as compare to other pho restaurants. Their presentation is good and the stone pot is hot enough for me to finish all the cooking. It's fun to be able to do some cooking while chatting with your friend across the table. Though the price is a little bit pricey as compared to the pho places. But I think the quality is worth the try. Will try few more other dishes next time.
